I have found out the weight of most of the H.E shells fired by Italian artillery in WWII. But can find no details of the proportion of high explosive contained in each shell.
The Germans was typically 9-9.5 per cent.
Commonwealth 7.5-8 percent.
American 10-10.5 percent.
Can any one fill in the gaps for Italian shells?

Are there no ammunition experts using the Forum ?
Had hoped for some useful info or a link.
Only source I ever read claimed Italian figure to be very low, in comparison to Allies & German.
Need figures to substantiate or refute this claim.
P.S I know the figures usually vary quite a bit between different calibre shells. The figures I quoted in my original post were a rough average of some of the more commonly used types.
