[l'anziano partigiano]

I recently purchased a Carta d'Identita` on ebay.it. After I got my hands on it I discovered some interesting info about the person and the card.



The card was issued on 26 Feb 1945 in Rome. The card's cover still reads Regno d'Italia but is missing any fascist imagery (as seems correct given the date).

The card holder is one Gennari, Luigi; born in December 1893 (12.893 - no day); profession: Mares. Magg. R.E. (Maresciale Maggiore, Regio Esercito).

All of the written dates on the card leave off the '1' in the year (so the issue date is recorded as 26.2.945).

Somewhat surprisingly, I haven't found any trace of this fellow on the internet or at some of the geneology sites.
