This unit had two batteries (12th & 24th) and used 20/65 mounted on CMP-Ford trucks (captured). But does anyone know when it was formed?
Cheers; Dave.

OK. Thanks for the clue.

It does seem to have been a provisional unit that became part of 136th Reggimento D'Artiglieria of GGFF. (c.a Gruppo?)
By may of 1942 it has 4x 20/65 Btys.
But I am looking to trace it's inception, or at least the arrival of its component batteries.
Cheers; Dave.

I have 30 Ford with 20mm AA. No units listed.

In Oct 42 Trento and Trieste had 2 Bat, Ariete 1 Bat, Littorio 2 Bat, Bologna 2 Batteries of SPAAG 20mm. Note this might not be Ford. For example the Libica division in 1940 had several Dovunque Trucks with 20mm guns.

On this chassis the autofficina di tripoli (when was on production scale) built only the pieces for 13.a batteria GGFF and for two section of the GGFF arty regiment. I dont have seen
others 20mm/Ford with others units....
