Colleghi-
A couple of questions about how to wear this rig:
1. How high up on the body should the belt ride?
2. What is the correct configuration of belt and buckle? That two-hasp, four-slot buckle is a puzzler.
Also, is the belt typically of two pieces of leather sewn together, or was mine repaired?
Mille grazie in anticipo!

I will try Camerata, 1. It is worn round the waist not the hips so it is worn high up like the cloth belt of your Uniform jacket,

2.There are several methods, look at lots of pictures and have a play you will work out the method you like,

From a site.

How I wear mine, you will note also a possible use for the odd leather loops on the back of the Modello 33 boras antigas I have offered to the forum a while back.
3.The belt is made of two pieces the internal flap catches the Ammunition Pouch so it doesn't slip off the belt when you that it off as you can see in my images the buckle turns up on the left or right in the historical documented images, I wear mine to the left of the Ammunition pouch.

Salve partigiano
Moncello has hit some of the high points. The belt is worn high above the waist.
The correct fitting of the belt and buckle has been a discussion topic HERE. Read to the lower third of the thread.
Whether the buckle was worn to the right or left of the pouch is also a challenge to determine. Pictures depict both methods. I tend to now wear it to the right of the pouches (opposite the bayonet frog). This allows the wearer to position the pouch and frog without the restriction of the buckle and sewn section of the belt.
I hope this helps.
Pista!
