Fascinating website and much needed to fill the vacancy regarding Italian involvement and contributions to the Axis during WWII. My grandfather served with the Alpini until 1938--then came here to the United States to work as a welder and burner in the submarine pens at the shipyards in Hunter's Point, San Francisco.
