I'm looking for a grigioverde tie in cotton, repro or original, like this one;

Glenning

Sartoria Equipe makes the correct soldier ties. I have:

summer g-v in cotton.

winter g-v in wool.

summer khaki in cotton.

All correct.

Pista!

Thanks, I really like SE and I know that Remo makes them but I need a tie pretty soon, and as SE take their time I'm afraid I won't be able to get it in time. So I'm looking for other options.

Got detailed photos of them? When would you need it by?

If I can get the fabric I could make this for you no problem and have it to you WELL before July. Once I get the fabric it wont take me more than a couple of hours if that.

Hm, looks too green for my taste! Maybe it would work for a tropical impression though!

These are all postwar ties. They are not correctly made for 2GM issued soldier ties. They might work as private purchase, but that would need to be researched.

See my picture of Remo's ties here: http://www.comandosu...opic/5692-ties/

Look at the last post.

Remo's ties match those pictured in Armi issue #163 page 22. The construction is different from the twice folded design of modern ties.

Just got a couple of ties from our fellow forum member Hunter, one light one in grigioverde for my officer impression and a darker one to wear with the white shirt. I'm very pleased with the result and can highly recommend them! :)

Thanks Glenning! For those that are interested what I am doing is using an ORIGINAL neck tie pattern from 1937 that I am modifying according to the photos of originals I have been provided with.
