Today 19 Feb 2010 in Tuscany Italy - the battle for Sommocolonia near Barga / Lucca Tuscany Italy was commemorated by American troops from camp Darby where soldiers from 92nd US Buffalo Division and Italian Partisans fought against the Axis troops based in the area. At the end of the battle in 26 Dec 1944 135 people died....

Oggi un gruppo di soldati di Camp Darby accompagnati dal decano dei sottoufficiali, CSM Felix Rodriguez, è stato in visita a Sommocolonia, una visita ai luoghi che sono stati teatro della battaglia del 26 dicembre 1944 quando i soldati della 92^ Divisione Buffalo, e partigiani, affrontarono l’invasione nazista. Alla fine della battaglia morirono oltre 135 persone....
