The idea is to list all 1/35 scale Italian AFV kits available. I´ll try to contribute to the list myself as well, but I sure could use some help. :)

Carro Armato M13-40

There are two kits available of the Carro Armato M13-40 to my knowledge, one produced by Tamiya ( MM35034 ) and one by Zvezda ( 3516 ). The latter is also distributed by Italeri, under their own brand. The Tamiya kit is a decent one considering its age ( 1970´s ). I have no first hand experience with the Zvezda/Italeri kit, however, and I´m in no position to compare the two. Zvezda also produces a Carro Comando ( command tank ) version of the M 13-40 ( 3536 ).

I´m not aware of any photoetched parts available for either of these kits at the moment, but I would think it likely that they exist.

Modelkasten supplies two sets of replacement tracks, a non-working ( MK-14 ) as well as a working one ( MSK43 ). Both made of injection moulded plastic.

A replacement gun barrel made of aluminium is available for the Zvezda/Italeri kit, produced by Jordi Rubio ( 3560 )

Semovente M40-75/18

Two kits available, from the same brands as the Carro Armato M13-40. Tamiya ( MM35078 ) and Zvezda ( 3515 ).

Photo etched parts for the Zvezda/Italeri kit are available from Eduard ( 35312 ).

The replacement tracks from Modelkasten made for the Carro Armato M13-40 ( MK-14 and MSK43 ) should fit nicely, as the Semovente M40-75/18 had the lower hull and suspension in common with the M 13/40.

Italeri have released a 1/35 Autoblinda 41 kit. It's expensive ($50 AUD), but is a nice kit.

I am glad to hear that we finally have a Autoblinda 41 AC in plastic to model!
But its so frustrating that we only have a total of four(I have a Fiat 3000) different Italian AFC'S in plastic to choose from............I want them all!!
There is quite a few I would love to build including the Sahariana scout cars,the Semovente 47/32 and other variants,L3 and variants (of course),L6,M11/39,Autoblinda 40,43 and Fiat light desert truck just to name a few of my fav units.
Love that list of resin models but my modelling skills aren't up to the challenge lol.
I would also like to see some different Soldiers in 1/35...I seem to remember having bought some Italian troops but everything is packed for moving and I haven't been able to model in quite some time.
When we get moved I plan on geting back into it big time and I think my first purchase will be that Autoblinda 41....always thought it was a cool looking AFV.
It would also be nice to get some artillery and ATG's in 1/35 also......here's hoping!

Italeri AB41 has the turret completly wrong it shape and the nails are to be removed and made new. The tyres are not correctly oulded, because the outrider is not enough carved. The tyres included in the kit are the Artiglio, that can be used only in the metropolitan territory, if you want to display an Ab41 settled in North Africa, you have to chenge the tyres, putting tha Libia ones (and buying them from another manufacturer, i.e CRIEL Model or Historica)

I'm sorry you are wrong. Bronco's CV33 will be released to the market at the end of 2006. The modle is still in studing.

I'm really looking forward to Bronco's CV33. I think they are very stylish little vehicles, if impotent in battle. Apparently, Italeri will also be releasing an AB43 and a Sahariana this year.

And yes, the Italeri AB41 has some problems, but it's much better than what we had before- nothing! :)

I've seen a few ads for Italeri's Sahariana! The box art looks very nice. The kit comes with resin, metal and photoetched parts. Hopefully it will be reviewed somewhere on the web soon.

There's Criel Model resin kit, that is much much better than the Italeri's kit.

I should have specified that I meant in plastic. I really can't afford resin kits. Therefore, I was thrilled to finally have an AB41 in plastic.

Italeri's Sahara Camionetta kit is now available! It's a bit pricey because it has resin figures and a reference manual, but I will likely pick it up soon. I found a review-

Hi to all! According to a modeller friend, the Italeri/Zvezda kits are better than the Tamiya one. With Tamiya old kits, you have sometimes dimensionnal problems and a thickness of some small parts that the other kits have'nt. Does anyone know if there's a M11/39 kit?

Italeri, the logical producer for plastic model kits of Italian AFVs, have released an L6/40. It looks a bit like their previous Italian AFV efforts; a nice kit with a good reference book included but burdened by a hefty price tag. I'm not sure if I will get that one yet. Dragon have released a set of Italian infantry, but I haven't seen it yet. Bronco have released CV's in 1/35 scale. Also, Tamiya have released upgraded versions of their M14/40 and Semovente M75/18 kits which are far better than the previous issues.

The Italeri L6/40 comes with a full interior, this is why it's expensive for a small kit. Just like the CV3/33 from Bronco Models.... The Tamyia kits are just reboxing of their 1970's kits with new decals, figurines and a small amount of photo-etched parts. As for Dragon's Italian figurines, they are fantastic and I hope that they will release other sets of Italian soldiers!!!!!!

Be careful abuto Dragon's Paratrooper. In fact the ammo box is on eof a kind employed only during RSI's period.
