The ones in the photos were captured by "Savoia Cavalleria" rgt. (see the white crosses on the turret)

Isn't this a post-war photo? Or maybe those tanks and soldiers belong to the kingdom of the south?

BTW, not only R-35 but also Somuas S-35 were used by italians.

Some other british AFV used by italian during the war : Morris LAC, Rolls-Royce, Dingo, Marmon Herrington, Humber MkII. Some tanks too : Matilda, Valentine (transfered to Roma for tests), Mk VIB, Cruiser A9, A13, Guy Lizard, Sherman M3A (send to Roma in 1942), and a M3 Grant captured on Russian Front.
The material take to russians is in 1942 14 tanks and 2 AFVs : a T34/76B (use as command vehicule of LII° Gruppo/120° Rgt.Artiglieria of 3°Divisione Celere), a T34/76A (tested), some BT-7M, a T-60 and T-37, and a Katjusha BM13-16.
Some french B1 bis were seized by italians.
