Could you tell me the ranks of these two artillery officers (1st Rapid Artillery Regiment)?
Thanks.

I saw this question on AHF. I believe the one of the left is a capitano, the one on the right is a tenente. My logic from that post.

Very difficult to tell. Looking at the left sleeve rank insignia of the officer on the left, I believe he is a capitano. There appears to be two GV breaks making three stripes of equal width. His hat insignia stripes appears to also have two GV breaks, although the lower stripe looks fainter. The thick bottom stripe of field grade officers doesn't have any GV break. If I was only looking at the hat, major would be a possible guess, but the sleeve GV breaks are too distinct. However it is still an informed guess so I could be wrong.

The officer on the right appears to be a tenente. The two hat stripes appear equal in width. Can't see his sleeve rank.

Thanks Oasis, but not much better. Still staying with a capitano and tenente. It is a prewar picture as they are still wearing the divisional shields on the left sleeve of the guibba.

Thanks again. Now I am going to close my "neverending" story of 1Articelere and Brescia 1941-1942 and try to edit it.

Do you know the names of the officers or can say a specific time/location you are interested in. I might have some sources to track them down.

I wish I had their names...
they are from 1 Articelere in Udine Ist gruppo, 7th batteria da 20mm (4th sezione?). Year 1940 (then in Libya in february 1941).

I am also looking for some portraits of col. Mario Griccioli, Luigi Aiello, Raffaele di Vuolo and Enrico Grimaldi, in command of 1° Articelere.
In command of 3° Articelere: Col. Alessandro Valerio , Col. Riccardo Rizzardi, Col. Giancarlo Re , Col. Cesare Ruggeri Laderchi , Col. Cesare Colombo, Ten.Col. Antonio Nomis di Pollone , Col. Giuseppe Berton .
In command of Brescia:
gen. Giuseppe Cremascoli, col. Domenico Cannistrà (interinale), col. Ubaldo Macrì (interinale); gen. Dino Parri (interinale), gen. di brigata Gino Fabris (interinale).

Please don't blame me if you offered me a hand and I took your arm, but I need to be able to take advantage of it because I don't know where to turn (and I want to close my work...).

To make up for it, I'm posting a (bad) photo of my father talking to his friend and superior, Lieutenant Colonel Salvatore Poddighe, at the Tobruk front in 1941.
Thank you.

I returned home from holiday. I thought I had a history of the Articelere in A.S., but it was of the Granatieri. I will look for other sources, but I am not hopeful.
