Restoring Fascist landmarks & New Italian WW2 movies

Postby HeLL f][re » Sat Apr 28, 2007 6:14 pm

Hello,

Sorry, I wasn't sure where to fit this since it's 2 tidbits of great interest! It appears that landmarks, such as the Villa Torlonia is being restored to showcaes the life under Fascism. This link also provides us with information regarding the production of a few movies that are in the makings about Italy during WW2, Mussolini's life specifically. Here is the link:

A spate of Mussolini-themed movies and documentaries are in the works

A Movie called, "Vincere" is in the works, and also another movie called, "Il Sangue dei Vinti" is also in production. If there was a similar news post regarding this, I am sorry I must have missed it.

BTW "Il Sangue Dei Vinti" is based on a bestseller by journalist Gianpaolo Pansa.
Former minister Gasparri claims that someone at RAI "does not like the project" for political reasons and has been putting road blocks to it with a sort of "hinder and delay" tactic.
