Comando Supremo was an authority that held senior command of Italian forces during the 1942-43 campaign in North Africa. Decisions were from time to time referred upwards to Comando Supremo for final authorisation or refusal. What is unclear to me is precisely what sort of an organisation this body was and who controlled its decisions and who was the man that directed its control.
