All these hand grenades had to be launched from a distance of 20 to 30 meters and had a shrapnel area of about 10
meters. Usually different colors meant different use for type of grenades:
Red: Combat
Yellow: Training
White with Yellow Stripes: Training
The S.I.P.E. Defensive Grenades were to be used only for defensive role. They had different time “actions” and shrapnel
area was roughly 50 to 60 meters.
